The Laboratory System Specialist is responsible for day-to-day operation of departmental systems. This position requires an individual who is highly skilled in clinical areas as it relates to Laboratory Hospital Information Systems. This individual functions as a liaison between the Laboratory and the Information Technology Department. This individual helps maintain excellent rapport among Laboratory, physicians, Nursing Staff and other Hospital Departments. This individual works closely with Laboratory Manager to maintain the Laboratory Information Systems policies and procedures, staff systems training and implementation of new systems or upgrades.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
ASCP MT or equivalent
LIS Training and or experience
Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required
